Hello Gunter, just wanted to let you know again how very much I appreciated your music and the creative work with your improvisation band and especially, the wonderful young dancer Danilo. As a former dancer myself - many years ago, one of my early dance teachers was Susanne Wegener, she also introduced me to Billy Bang, with whom I performed on and off while living in New York, and who stayed with me in Berlin ( usanne and I are a close friends since over 30 years) - and as a trained dance/ movement therapist in California, I really appreciated the amazing creativity of your exquisite dancer. In my life I have seen a lot of excellent dancers but no one like him. He truly is in a league of his own. I have never seen such a spirited dancer who is in such superb command of his instrument, moving with immense fluidity and grace, with the most diverse blend of influences from various dance styles, flamenco, Capoeira, African dance, Modern dance, Classical dance, LImon and Break dance all converging in his movements, - with just hints of each and , yet unique in his own expression - and in the most amazing resonance with the musicians ..., was breath-taking to witness. To me this was true art - created right from the heart - improvised on the spot in front of our ears and eyes - the range of movements, expressions and qualities were truly amazing: the tenderness of the baby dance and the high flying energy during his flips through the air, the speed and precision of movements - shows Danilo's creative genius. Wow - what a beautiful soul and rare spirit in- carnated in physical form. Such a dancer truly deserves to be named an "Acrobat of the Gods ". I feel blessed having experienced the wonderful creative flow in your intercultural and intergenerational performance improvisations. Came to see your second Berlin performance at Villy Kuriosum together with a young friend of mine from Bolivia, a dancer as well. She was equally taken by Danilo's art- While the dance situation there was less than ideal, Danilo rose to the occassion and created the brilliant cell- phone dance. I certainly hope that he will take very good care of his delicate and fragile instrument: his body! At the end of your Villa Kuriosum performance you announced that you will be working regularly once a week in Berlin. I would love to know more about this and would certainly appreciate some info about it Perhaps there will be a way, I can support you in this project, if you wish, and once I know more about , drawing from my dance/movement therapy background. Love and peace - as Billy Bang always used to say - and with m u c h appreciation for your continued Jazz Art work. Blessings to you all, M
